Devin 'Frost' Blood

Devin started playing competitive after his friend Alex got him into it at the age of 15 during Black Ops 3. Although he didn't really win anything, he claims it was "one of the best years of comp" (for him). He knew very little about comp to begin with but it was fun for Devin at the start and he just kept on playing through the losses.

By the time Infinite Warfare came out Devin had high hopes for the season and wanted to start winning things. But for the first couple of Leagues he played in it didn't go too well, as the description he used was "we got destroyed". Around the same time, Devin was going through a rough patch in life, so being able to focus on CoD was difficult for him. He was ready to quit many times during IW but ended up pushing through it and he was able to pick up a League win at the end of the game. He said that "I have my friends to thank for me playing comp still."

Going into World War 2, he knew the thing he needed to work on the most as a player was his composure, and that was something he made sure he worked on all year round. One of the challenges of the season was almost always being on a West Coast team, which made it hard to find scrims after teams kept refusing to play unless they could host. Although he didn't win anything during WW2 and he believes his team was around the "middle of the pack", he says that they were able to shock some people, including beating a team in playoffs that everyone thought they would lose to.

The next step going into Black Ops 4 was to compete at Majors after making the switch from Xbox One to PlayStation 4. The ambition was just to compete at an event and make a good run. CWL Vegas was the first Open Event of the season, which had its problems early on. He was unable to get a team together for a while which made preparations hard for the team once they finally did get a Team of 5 together. The team showed up, and got double first rounded and that was the end of CWL Vegas. Next up was CWL Fort Worth. Devin had a set Team of 3 but he was still looking for 2. The To3 managed to find 2 players before the event and they did get some practice in before they left for Texas. Fort Worth was definitely much improved as Devin and his team made it to Losers Round 3 and Devin believes that "with more practice I believe we could have made a deeper run" but that was the end of the list of Open Events for Devin. He played in a couple more Online Leagues for the rest of Black Ops 4 which didn't bring any success either.

The plan for Modern Warfare is to make sure that a Team of 5 is set before the Season starts in January and attend every single Path-To-Pro Event that they can. The first priority is to get the Team set in stone, and then look for an organisation if the current org prospect doesn't work out. Devin hasn't had the same level of success as most players, but he is as determined as anyone in the community. And whether there will be success for Modern Warfare... Only time will tell.
